*Pulse*
I learned my lesson. I will never drink that again... Water. Coffee. Protein bar. Motrin. My hangover cure. Hopefully.

What was your poison of choice?
@MyxlDove - A glass of champagne. But wait, I had some the other night and was fine. This was a different brand. Ugh! I can't win.
The single glass hit me so hard (because of how it interacts with my medicine) I pretty much passed out on the couch during a movie
I wish I could figure out the difference between what interacts and what doesnt . But so far, all I have is a list of ok and not ok.
@PrincessPowers - Different brands of champagne can have varying amounts of alcohol. Could the one last nigh have had more?
Maybe it's the amount of alcohol that makes the different in whether or not you'll have a hangover.
@MyxlDove - Last night was 12.5. The other night was 13. Vodka is ok. Wine is bad. Is the lesson harder is better?
And yes I know champagne is a variant of wine. The puzzle is why some brands are ok.
@PrincessPowers - Hahaha... no comment on that question.
But it doesn't look like the amount of alcohol is the culprit.
Maybe it's timing. Was there a huge difference between when you took the medicine and when you drank the wine both times?
I think I have two instances of definitive proof that vodka is my poison. Liquid death.
@MyxlDove - I take my medicine before I go to bed. Thanks for mentioning that, in my blackout I realize I missed it last night...
@MyxlDove - But anyways, when I drink, it's been 20+ hrs since my last dose. It doesn't seem related to intensity of drunkenness.
@PrincessPowers - Hmm... what about when and how much you ate? I know alcohol has a greater affect on an empty stomach.
@StupidSystemus - vodka is my only safe drink, apparently. Haha! This convo makes me sound like a lush, doesn't it.
@MyxlDove - I ate super yummy chicken and guac nachos. It's not related to any typical drinking reason. The reaction is too extreme.
I find wine gets me drunk far quicker than spirits. Two glasses of wine is enough to make my head go fuzzy.
Not that that explains your champagne problem.
@happyworld_ofharibo - Interesting! It's so counterintuitive that a lower alcohol content would mess us up faster, harder.
@PrincessPowers - I know! I have never worked it out. I rarely feel drunk at all on spirits but wine puts me to sleep.
If it were just a hangover, I would assume it's a difference in the filtration process. But it's immediate drunkenness, too.
And it's not grapes vs grains. I know because Ciroc is my favorite vodka, and it's made from grapes.
I had one glass of champagne last night. And now? I'm still nauseous and slightly dizzy, mixed up eyes. It's a definite overreaction
@happyworld_ofharibo - Excuse me... did you just hijack my conversation??
@MyxlDove - Just casually!
@MyxlDove - Excuse me, did you think this was a private convo?
@PrincessPowers - It is very strange. Maybe your body just wasn't feeling the alcohol yesterday.
@PrincessPowers - He probably just likes to keep his friends separate. In case they talk about him or something.
@happyworld_ofharibo - Different champagnes use different blends of wine. I know last night's version tasted winier (made up word).
I have never had a hangover. They don't look fun though so I feel very sorry for you right now!
@happyworld_ofharibo - He wants all my attn. That's nothing new. Jealous man.
@happyworld_ofharibo - If it were anyone other than you...
@happyworld_ofharibo - Actually, I encourage my friends to interact and talk about me. lol
@PrincessPowers - Well, that's half true. lol
@happyworld_ofharibo - It's pretty much like motion sickness at this stage. You almost wish you'd vomit. But it won't help, really.
@MyxlDove - Of course it's true. I know my Riis.
Riis... Reisling... it's too close!
@PrincessPowers - That you do, my dear. That you do.
@happyworld_ofharibo - I've only had one hangover my entire life. And rum was the offender. I can drink wine all day. Theoretically...
Pfft, I've had more than one. In the last year.
@PrincessPowers - I've had motion sickness, though we call it travel sickness. I have vomited in many a vehicle in my time!
@PrincessPowers - Oh not all lol. The times I was messed up with vodka, I was mixing drinks. Not good.
Stupid medicine. It's made my drinking life complicated. Ha! No wonder some docs prescribe it to alcoholics. Off label.
@MyxlDove - I drink about two glasses of wine and then I get too sleepy to be bothered to drink anymore.
@happyworld_ofharibo - I vomited in a car once. But that was tequila's fault. I'm sounding worse and worse. LOL
By the way, I think this conversation makes all of us very cool interesting people.
@StupidSystemus - Aww you can't blame the vodka for that. Give her another shot.
@PrincessPowers - It's OK, I am sure you aren't really a raving alcoholic!
@PrincessPowers - I always tell myself that I am cool and interesting. It makes me feel good.
@PrincessPowers - The worst was 6 glasses of vodka/sprite mix. I lost count after 6 glasses.
@StupidSystemus - holy consumption, Batman! Well no wonder you got sick. LOL
